Brad’s message was actually called Soul Control. My bad. It really is great and hit home for me. Be sure to check it out if you missed it. Thanks Brad for bringin’ it as always. I love you Man.
Wow I have not heard the prayer of St. Francis in like ages, thank you for sharing that, it definitely reminded me of so many things I can improve on.

You know when you start watching a TV series on DVD, like old seasons of 24? And you’re so thankful you don’t have to wait a whole week after the episode’s cliffhanger ending, because you have the next 10 episodes on the DVD, cued up to watch? That’s how I felt just now, watching your videos. I fell behind a few weeks, and after Week 5, I was so glad to know there was a Week 6 and 8, or I would have called you to see if you had stuck your head in the oven.
Your videos remind me of the Psalms. So real, so raw, searching passionately for God and sometimes frustrated that He’s not responding. Thanks for taking us with you.
I know I’m a few weeks late on this, but I read this once and found it very hopeful:
I once wrote about something that my counselor said when I told him I felt like I was wrestling with God on some issues. He said, “God loves that.” This is not the answer I was expecting. I thought he would say, “You need to trust the Lord more.” Or “You need to let go and let God.” But he didn’t say that. Instead he remarked, “Jon, do you know what is true about wrestling? Have you ever stopped to think about the nature of wrestling? God loves to wrestle with us, because you can’t wrestle with someone who is far away. They have to be close to you. It’s a very intimate, personal activity.” And I think he was right. I think that God wants me close. I think He wants me near to His side, close enough to feel His breath and know His strength. And when I approach to wrestle over an issue with Him, like Jacob wrestling, I don’t think He is angry. I think He is happy, because I am close. (Jon Acuff, StuffChristiansLike.net)
